What location in time has most inspired you?
On July 13, 2000 I looked up and gazed at the stars around midnight. They were the same stars I saw in Colorado yet Koh Samui, Thailand was on the other side of our earth. It was a cool feeling and I smiled.

What do you sing in the shower, if you do sing?
I don’t. My shower time is eyes closed pontificating on today’s business moves.

Has a book ever changed your life? Which one and why if the answer is yes.
Christopher McDougall’s story of super athletes the world doesn’t know and the main character who did his time in Boulder Colorado changed my life. Born to Run chrismcdougall.com is a story that pushed me to get right on the outside but more importantly got me right in the head.

Do you Cry at movies? If so which movie made you cry?
I pride myself as a tough guy but Marley & Me had me sobbing. Not just a little tear that you quickly brush away before somebody can see you but a full on, out loud cry.

What is your favorite outdoor activity and why?
200 pounds flying over rock at 30 miles per hour is a rush like no other. Mountain biking offers me a chance to see more of my great state at a faster pace, so for 9 months a year there is nothing cooler than this sport.

Are you an environmentalist or a capitalist?
You balance the two and that’s it. Create a business that is good for the environment, has the propensity to help others and make a dollar for yourself. You build a business that isn’t one sided and selfish and the world will turn in your favor.

When was the first time you had a beer?
I can’t pinpoint my exact age but I was a little guy. My father had this old fridge out in the garage filled with Coors Khaki . I would look in the fridge every day and wonder why this was the only thing in this old fridge. Curiosity finally got the better of me. I remember that moment well and smile because my dad had a beer fridge. He was just a dude and dudes need their beer fridge.
