Marc Gorman

I grew up in the small town of Fleming, CO with my younger brother where our parents are teachers. Upon graduating high school, I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. I started working at Cellular Recycler in August of 2006 as a warehouse assistant, working mostly in the receiving department. In March of 2008, I took over the data clear department and also assumed a local sales role. While advancing newer makes and models in data clear I took on the maintenance of two e-commerce stores as well creating on-line created stock listings of our 1,100 makes and models collected through Cellular Recyclers recycling programs.
What location in time has most inspired you?
I’m not sure that it really inspired me so much as it helped me develop into the person I am today, but when I was very young, 3-4, I would go over and spend Tuesdays with my grandfather and he would take me golfing. He taught me the rules of the game and how they could be applied to real life: only you can hold yourself accountable.
What do you sing in the shower, if you do sing?
Whatever is in my head at the time, or whatever I put on the radio, it varies day to day.
Has a book ever changed your life? Which one and why if the answer is yes.
I haven’t really read any life changing books, I just enjoy my nerdy sci-fi and fantasy
Do you Cry at movies? If so which movie made you cry?
I am far too masculine to cry at a movie.
What is your favorite outdoor activity and why?
I love playing golf (a big reason is because of Grandpa, as stated earlier), but skiing is a close second because it allows for something fun to do outside during the winter.
Are you an environmentalist or a capitalist?
Definitely a capitalist. I believe we should help the environment, but I don’t have the money to buy the ecologically friendly products all the time-it’s always about the money.
When was the first time you had a beer?
The first time I had a beer was my second day of college (I was sick the first night). It was Keystone Light (YUCK), but I have since gotten wiser with better beer.
Jason Gelfand

An honors graduate from the University of Colorado, his environmental studies led him to a focus area of Geobiochemistry. As a reverse logistics specialist, Jason has saved millions in expense processing costs revolutionizing the used cell phone and accessory supply chain.
What location in time has most inspired you?
In February 1996, I was coming out from the Eagles Nest at Vail. Looking around, I had the realization that I was not a Northeastern United States person. From then on I have focused on being established in Colorado and have done just that. I have the opportunity to travel a great deal domestically with Cellular Recycler. My travels only help to confirm that I am in the right location.
What do you sing in the shower, if you do sing?
Really? Sing in the shower? I can’t even tell you of what I think of people that sing in the shower.
Has a book ever changed your life? Which one and why if the answer is yes.
Yes, but not one book a series, Cliffs notes. Who knew getting an “A” could be so easy.
Do you Cry at movies? If so which movie made you cry?
No, I only watch action and horror films. NA
What is your favorite outdoor activity and why?
Snowboarding, for the solitude of the backcountry, the superhuman ability when on a board, and the adrenalin that comes from a great ride.
Are you an environmentalist or a capitalist?
Should this be a comparison when in fact these two words may be more related than different. As a nation becomes more affluent, there is a direct relationship to becoming better environmental stewards. Money and capitalism are the fuel to the environmental progression much like the progression of any technology through monetary investment. Some processes take money, while some make money, if you are able to make more then you lose and help the environment, looks like you are both a capitalist and an environmentalist.
When was the first time you had a beer?
What is this question, an invitation to be on Dr. Drew?
