Building a Better World

As part of Cellular Recycler's charitable efforts, our office and warehouse staff decided to sponsor a child through World Vision in June 2008. As an international Christian humanitarian organization, World Vision works in nearly 100 countries around the globe, combating the root causes of poverty and responding quickly when disaster strikes.

We are honored to sponsor Evens from Haiti, pictured here. Evens lives with his parents, two brothers, and three sisters. His parents struggle to provide for the family. His father is an agriculture worker and his mother is an agriculture laborer. Despite their efforts, it is difficult to meet the family's needs.

Evens and his family live in a community severely affected by the HIV/AIDS crisis. In some communities, AIDS affects the entire social structure as a generation of hardworking adults is being wiped out. Frightened children and exhausted grandparents rarely have money for food, school, or medical care.
